The heater blanket is controlled by a thermo switch attached to the blanket. The thermo switch is connected to the 101 controller through two wires, number 39 and 41. At the beginning of the dry cycle the thermo switch is closed. This signals the controller to send voltage to the blanket heater and the temperature begins to rise.

| When the high end operating temperature (approximately 170ºF) is reached the thermo switch opens cutting the voltage to the blanket heater. When the temperature drops to approximately 120ºF, the thermo switch closes and the cycle repeats. | ||||||||||||||||||||
A LOW BOWL TEMP ERROR occurs when the controller does not see the thermo switch open after 4 minutes into the dry cycle. The LOW BOWL TEMP ERROR can only be cleared by pressing the STOP button.

| Normally, if the blanket heater is getting hot, a LOW BOWL TEMP ERROR indicates a bad thermo switch. To repair you'll need to replace the blanket heater. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| A HIGH BOWL TEMP ERROR occurs when the controller does not see the thermo switch close 4 minutes after it opens. The HIGH BOWL TEMP ERROR will clear when the thermo switch closes. | ||||||||||||||||||||

You can view the heater blanket thermo switch on the 101 controller using the multiplexed inputs at MPXIN 2 bit 1. At idle (room temperature) it should be a 0. At the high end operating temperature approximately 170ºF (when the thermo switch opens) it should be a 1.
