Residue on the shaft of QD rotor

Seals on the rear of the bowl protect the area where the rotor shaft mates with the motor. These seals help prevent water from entering the rotor/motor shafts interface. There is also a seal on the rotor bolt. The most significant cause of residue is the age and condition of these seals. Additionally Rhetech's preventive maintenance schedule calls for a monthly cleaning of the rotor shaft.
